Madeline founded Novos Planning Associates, an independent Registered Investment Advisor firm, in 1985. She was an early advocate for the professional standards and academics of the CFP® Board and served as national president of the Institute of Certified Financial Planners. Her areas of expertise include comprehensive financial and estate planning, individual investing, retirement planning, and charitable gift planning. As an art historian and former museum curator, she has special expertise in planning issues related to owning and investing in fine art and antiquities. Madeline received her BA from Cornell University and completed her MA in art history at Columbia University. She has served on non-profit boards and advisory committees and lectured on individual investing, personal planning, and planned giving. Presently, she co-hosts a series on “Investment Strategies for the Individual Investor” at the 92nd Street Y in New York City.
