Edgar’s career as a wealth advisor to individuals, families, and institutions spans 50 years. After a time as head of the Parrish Consulting Group at UBS and at the Merrill Lynch Private Client Group, Edgar co-founded and co-owned its independent successor, Precipio Wealth Management, in 2009, an early breakaway, fee-only registered investment adviser firm.

Edgar is a graduate of the Securities Industry Institute at The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. He currently maintains three professional certifications -CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, Certified Investment Management Analyst®, and Accredited Investment Fiduciary®.

Edgar is a native of Northern Virginia and graduated from the McIntire School at the University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Science in Commerce degree. He served as a member of the McIntire Advisory Board for 12 years and is currently a member of the University’s Lawn Society. After graduation, Edgar received a direct commission as an officer in the U.S. Air Force Reserve Medical Service Corps and served in the U.S. and Japan.

Following Precipio Wealth Management’s merger with Mercer Global Advisors in 2021, Edgar continues following his passion of guiding clients in their financial lives as a Senior Wealth Advisor in McLean, VA and Palm Beach, FL. He and his wife, Katherine (Katy), who is also a Mercer advisor, enjoy spending personal time with their grown sons and their families and traveling.
