Douglas Gilbert

Doug began his career in the financial services industry in 2001 and has been with Mercer Advisors since 2013. Previously, he worked at Westwood Trust and the private client group of First National Bank of Nebraska, providing comprehensive financial planning and investment advice for high-net-worth clients, foundations, and endowments.

In his role, Doug collaborates with channel partners and mentors new regional vice presidents. He is dedicated to building relationships with partners and learning about their clients, introducing them to a hand-picked Mercer Advisors team to help achieve their goals. Doug is passionate about advocating for those who need assistance with retirement, tax planning, and financial planning, helping them define and achieve Economic Freedom™.

Doug has served on several industry and community boards during his career, including Dundee Presbyterian, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Omaha Jaycees, and the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors. He graduated from Wayne State College with a degree in business and holds the FINRA Series 65 license.

Doug lives in Omaha with his wife and two children and enjoys playing golf and exploring new restaurants. A former collegiate golfer, he enjoys sharing the sport with his children.
