Dane in real life

What keeps you busy outside of work?

My wife and I have two young children and we love traveling with them. We also enjoy living in Chicago, trying out new restaurants, going to parks, and all the things this city has to offer.

What’s one thing you are surprisingly good at?

I don’t know if it’s a surprise, but my friends and family tell me I’m a pretty good cook.

Why do you like working at Mercer Advisors?

I’ve spent my entire career at Mercer Advisors. I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. I love the people I work with and I’m inspired by our mission. I believe we’re called to serve our clients as well as each other, and I think everybody here believes that.

The Forbes Next-Gen Wealth Advisors rankings, developed by SHOOK Research, is based on an algorithm of qualitative criteria—mostly gained through telephone, virtual, and in-person due diligence interviews—and quantitative data. Those advisors that are considered have a minimum of four years’ experience, and the algorithm weighs factors like revenue trends, assets under management, compliance records, industry experience and those that encompass the highest standards of best practices. Portfolio performance is not a criterion due to varying client objectives and lack of audited data. Neither Forbes nor SHOOK receive a fee in exchange for rankings.

Crain’s Chicago Business 40 Under 40: Nominees must be working in the Chicago area and be 39 or younger as of 10/14/2024.
