John has extensive experience assisting businesses and families with financial planning and wealth management. In 1998, he founded Day & Ennis, LLC, a fee-only financial planning firm that became a major independent fiduciary firm in Macon and central Georgia with a second office in Blairsville, Georgia. The firm joined Mercer Advisors in June 2023. John graduated from the University of Georgia with a BBA in Accounting and a Masters degree in accounting. After graduating from college, John joined Arthur Andersen & Co. where he rose to senior manager. He then became Vice-President and Controller of Charter Medical Corporation and later the Chief Financial Officer for CareSouth Health Systems. Currently John serves as the President of the Union County Georgia Rotary Club and is on the board of directors for the Union County Rotary Foundation. John and his wife Diana live in the mountain community of Blairsville, Georgia. He enjoys golf, fitness, hiking, reading mysteries, and fishing.
