Richard in real life
What keeps you busy outside of work?
My kids keep me busy. We enjoy all kinds of outdoor sports together, including mountain biking, backcountry skiing, hiking, and surfing.
Favorite thing about where you live?
We moved to Ojai, California in 2021. I love that it’s surrounded by big mountains, close to the Pacific Ocean, and not too far from Los Angeles and Santa Barbara. Despite its small size, it has many of the gifts found only in a much larger city such as play houses, music venues, artistic talent, restaurants, and more.
How do you give back?
I am a tree hugger and give to local and global environmental protection organizations. I also give my time teaching kids through a couple local outdoor education programs, and building local hiking and biking trails. We have an Ojai Pixie orange orchard and donate the proceeds to local conservation efforts
