Meet Tamara
Tamara is a Tax Manager based in San Diego, California. She joined Mercer Advisors in 2023 through the acquisition of Private Asset Management, where she was a Tax Manager. Before that, she served in accountant positions at EY and Del Mar Thoroughbred Club. Tamara is a Certified Public Accountant. She earned an A.A. degree in Spanish from MiraCosta College, a B.A. degree in social science from California State University San Marcos, and an M.S. degree in accountancy from California State University, Sacramento. Tamara finds motivation in helping people feel more at ease with their taxes — taking complex issues and making them clear and understandable.

What keeps you busy outside of work?
I love hiking and traveling — discovering new places, connecting with different cultures, and exploring the natural world. I especially love sharing these adventures with my husband and two kids.
What are your favorite things about San Diego?
I feel lucky to live in San Diego, where Southern California’s beauty is always within reach — from deserts to mountains to beaches. Our proximity to Mexico adds a vibrant mix of cultures and incredible food.
