Kimberly in real life
What makes you tick?
I grew up in Auburn, California, a Gold Rush town where my great‑great‑grandfather was the first Wells Fargo agent in Northern California. While finance may have been part of my history, it wasn’t handed to me. As the youngest of six children raised by a carpenter and an Avon representative, I learned early the value of hard work, self‑belief, and choice. Those lessons carried me through college, paid for with my own savings, into Merrill Lynch — where I became one of the youngest female account executives and eventually founded my own firm. Today, my life’s work is helping others gain the same power of choice that shaped my own path.
Any words you try to live by?
“People above profit.” It’s not about money; it’s about people. The loved ones, family members and friends who matter most to you. Generosity, selflessness, and integrity — these core beliefs are central to who I am, and how I serve my clients.
What’s one thing you are surprisingly good at?
Service above self. Whether I’m working with my clients, hosting a workshop, or educating investors, I will always lead with humility, encouragement, and mentorship first. I wake up every morning with the passion and desire to help my clients soar further in life than they ever dreamed possible.

AdvisorHub Advisors to Watch, 2025: under $1 Billion Nominees were required to have seven years’ experience, $150m minimum in AUM, two years of good standing tenure at their current firm, and a clean regulatory record. MONEY’S BEST Women Planners, 2025: This stand-out group of women planners was derived from the same methodological analysis as laid out above. That is, it was based on the women’s responses to our survey of CFP professionals who are FPA members in fall 2024 followed by a tailored questionnaire in April 2025 for the women who were finalists in this specialty list. Of the approximately 1,000 planners who took our core survey, 275 were women and thus eligible for the designation.
