HK Hallett

HK has been a trusted advisor and confidante, guiding individuals and multi-generational families in preserving and growing their assets for more than 40 years. His extensive market knowledge and hands- on experience during periods of market stress enable him to provide a steady hand in helping clients achieve their financial goals.

HK is continually motivated by witnessing the positive outcomes of his guidance, leading to clients’ success in their financial dreams and goals. Before joining Mercer Advisors in 2023, HK co-founded James M. Myers Research in 1989, which later became Kingfisher Capital. He holds an MBA from Georgia State University and a bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. HK graduated from Woodberry Forest School.

He was inspired by his uncle, a stockbroker who taught him the basics of investing and the importance of providing sound guidance.

A native of Charlotte, HK has been actively involved in the community, serving on the boards of the Mecklenburg County Boy Scouts, YMCA of Greater Charlotte, UNC Chapel Hill Board of Visitors, and Parents Council. Outside the office, he enjoys reading, traveling with his wife, playing golf, and spending time outdoors.
