Meet Ben
Ben is a Sr. Estate Planning Strategist and joined Mercer Advisors in 2025. Before joining Mercer Advisors, he spent approximately 15 years as an attorney in private practice, where he handled estate administration and litigation matters and saw firsthand the impact that thoughtful estate planning can have on families. He earned a B.A. degree in sociology from the State University of New York at Geneseo and a juris doctor from Hofstra University School of Law. Ben finds motivation in problem-solving and lifelong learning, and he values the trust clients place in him to help them navigate complex decisions with clarity and confidence.

Ben approaches every client interaction with patience, a steady approach to problem-solving, and a commitment to making estate planning concepts approachable. He recognizes that complex legal concepts can feel overwhelming, so he takes the time to listen carefully and explain sophisticated strategies in a clear, practical manner. His goal is to ensure clients feel informed and confident.

What keeps you busy outside of work?
Most of my free time is spent with my wife, our two kids, and our dog. I enjoy woodworking, completing home improvement projects, and rooting for the Buffalo Bills.
Any words you try to live by?
“Everything is ‘figureoutable.’” It reflects my belief that even the most complex challenges can often be addressed with patience, creativity, and thoughtful planning. I also subscribe to the idea that “you are the cavalry,” a reminder that meaningful results come from taking ownership, showing up for others, and focusing on solutions. These principles shape the way I approach my work and the relationships I build.
