Meet Alejandro
Alejandro is a Wealth Advisor based in San Francisco, California. He joined Mercer Advisors in 2023 with nearly three decades of experience in the financial services industry. Before joining Mercer Advisors, Alejandro served as Sr. Portfolio Manager and Vice President at American Century Investments for 18 years, where he oversaw a group specializing in structured finance. Alejandro earned a B.A. degree in economics from the University of California, Berkeley, and an MBA in finance from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) charterholder and a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional. He is energized by solving complex problems and helping people make better decisions with confidence.

How do you give back?
I’ve spent quite a bit of time mentoring younger professionals and college students, and I’ve been involved with several nonprofit and educational organizations. I enjoy helping people develop and succeed professionally and personally.
What keeps you busy outside of work?
Outside of work, family is a big priority for me. I value the simple moments — spending time with the people closest to me, sharing a meal, having a good conversation, or just enjoying each other’s company. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve come to appreciate that some of the most meaningful parts of life are often the simplest ones.
Any words you try to live by?
Never get so busy making a living that you forget to make a life.
