Question

What is a Trump Account, and how does it work?

Answer

A Trump Account is a tax-advantaged individual retirement account established by the One Big Beautiful Bill Act for eligible children under Internal Revenue Code Section 530A. Contributions of up to $5,000 per year can be made before the beneficiary turns 18, with funds growing tax-deferred until the beneficiary reaches age 18 and can access the account.
