Mercer Advisors Inc. (“Mercer Advisors”), a national Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) firm, today announced that two members of the firm’s executive team have been recognized for outstanding leadership in the prestigious wealthmanagement.com Industry Awards program for 2022.*

A judging panel of industry experts and luminaries recognized Mercer Advisors in the Individual RIA Firm Leader categories for Chief Executive Officer Dave Welling as CEO of the Year and Managing Director Kara Duckworth as a “Rising Star.” This is Welling’s third-time making the finalist list as CEO of the Year, and his second time being named the winner.

Chief Executive Officer, Dave Welling, joined Mercer Advisors in mid-2017 to accelerate Mercer Advisors’ growth. He has set the firm’s Quadruple Bottom Line strategy which focuses on having a positive and meaningful impact for the firm’s clients, shareholders, communities, and the employees of Mercer Advisors that make it possible. During Welling’s tenure as CEO, the firm has more than quadrupled in number of clients served and client assets. . His impact in the last several years has been exceptional, from developing a strong culture to building out Mercer Advisors’ family office capabilities to driving diversity initiatives to elevate Mercer Advisors as a leader in the industry with women professionals now making up more than half of all client-facing roles.

As Managing Director of Client Experience, Kara Duckworth leads the development and implementation of Mercer Advisors’ client experience, bringing together a cross-departmental effort to help ensure client engagement, retention, and satisfaction. In this unique role, Duckworth’s efforts have been recognized across the industry as a benchmark for ensuring client success. In addition to leading the evolution of the client experience, Duckworth also acts as a Steering Committee member for Mercer Advisors’ InvestHERs program, which focuses on gender diversity, equity, and inclusion and Mercer Advisors’ Women in Wealth client education program. InvestHERs was recognized in 2019 by the wealthmanagement.com awards as the winner for though leadership and again in 2021 as part of the Mercer 2030 corporate responsibility program.
