Keny is a Tax Associate based in San Francisco, California. She joined Mercer Advisors in 2025 after serving as Tax Sr. Associate for EY. Keny earned a BBA in accounting from the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico in Ponce. Her inspiration came from seeing how much stress financial ambiguity can cause individuals and small business owners, which led her to a career in tax.

What keeps you busy outside of work?
I tend to spend my time diving into history books, but when I’m not reading, I’m usually exploring local coffee shops, trying new dessert recipes, or spending time outdoors resetting for the week ahead.
What’s one thing you are surprisingly good at?
Hand embroidery. It requires a lot of patience and meticulous, detailed work, which is probably why I naturally find it so relaxing. It’s a great way to use the analytical, detail-oriented side of my brain to create something beautiful, stitch by stitch.
Favorite thing about where you live?
Living in San Francisco, California, I love that I can step out of my door and walk anywhere. The city’s walkability makes it feel like a collection of tight knit villages rather than a massive metropolis. My favorite weekends are usually spent exploring the local neighborhoods, enjoying the microclimates, discovering independent shops, and taking advantage of having beautiful parks just a short walk away.
