Meet Ian
Ian is a Principal in Ponte Vedra, Florida. He joined Mercer Advisors in 2023 through the acquisition of Paragon Wealth Strategies where he served as Partner for three years as well as ran investment and day-to-day operations. Prior, he was Partner at Mellen Money Management LLC. Ian began his career at Merrill Lynch in 2012. He earned his B.A. degree in economics from Colgate University and MBA from Rollins College. Ian is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional. Like his father, a physician, Ian strives to have a positive impact on people’s overall wellbeing.

What keeps you busy outside of work?
My family and friends are ultimately what I always lean into with my free time. Watching sports with them along the way is always a plus where I like to keep track of most everything Jaguars and Gator sports.
Favorite thing about where you live?
Florida is my home. I love being outdoors whenever I can and there’s never really a time of year that doesn’t allow me to do that. And Jacksonville is where I grew up and is special because it has that small town feel with all of the size of a big city.
What makes you tick?
Having purpose. At work my purpose is helping my clients and teammates to succeed in their lives. At home its making the best life for my kids. And in my community its through positively affecting those around me whether through coaching or working with the charities I am most passionate about.
