Mark Pletts

Mark Pletts is a senior wealth advisor at Mercer Advisors who helps families navigate the burdens that are associated with the success they’ve achieved. He has extensive investment expertise and enjoys helping families think through generational communication issues.

Mark has been in the financial services industry since the early 1980s, having worked for several large Wall Street money managers. In 2015, Mark co-founded Waypoint Capital Advisors and helped the company flourish into one of the fastest growing RIAs in the country. Mercer Advisors acquired Waypoint Capital Advisors in 2024.

Mark resides in the greater Minneapolis area with his wife Sarah. They have two adult sons, Gentry and Steele. Mark is an active member of his community church, and the non-profit “Matter” that takes corporate surplus and distributes it to families in need, locally and around the world. Mark also sits on committees at Hazeltine National Golf Club which hosted the Ryder Cup in 2016 and will host again in 2029.
