Mark Pletts

Mark Pletts has been in the financial services industry since the early ‘80s. He worked for several large Wall Street money managers in the distribution area which allowed him to see the inside of some of the top advisory firms in the United States.

Mark has extensive investment expertise and enjoys helping families think through generational communication issues. In 2015, Mark co-founded Waypoint Capital Advisors and helped the company flourish into one of the fastest growing RIAs in Minnesota. Mercer Advisors acquired Waypoint Capital Advisors in 2024.

Mark resides in the greater Minneapolis area with his wife Sarah. They have two adult sons, Gentry and Steele. Mark is an active member of his community church, and the non-profit “Matter” that takes corporate surplus and distributes it to families in need, locally and around the world.

Mark also sits on committees at Hazeltine National Golf Club which hosted the Ryder Cup in 2016 and will host again in 2029.
