John Mazzei

John has been dedicated to helping individuals and families achieve their financial goals since 2015. In his current role, he collaborates with clients to identify their current and future financial needs, demonstrating how Mercer Advisors can address these critical areas. John applies the lessons he learned growing up — never cutting corners and always doing the right thing — to his work.

John earned a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in finance from the University of New Mexico, Anderson School of Management. After graduating, he discovered his passion for working with numbers and pursued a career in guiding people through the complexities of their financial lives. He spent a combined eight years at Fidelity and Charles Schwab before joining Mercer Advisors in 2024.

Inspired by his grandmother, a stock trader who closely followed the ticker tape on TV during her visits, John has earned his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification and holds the FINRA Series 66 license.

He resides in Dallas with his wife and two sons, enjoying the local community, Texas hospitality, sports, and BBQ. John loves playing and competing in sports and coaches his sons’ soccer and baseball teams.

He also supports The Rising International, a nonprofit aiding small remote villages in the Philippines, with financial needs such as payroll and cash flow. Guided by their church and faith, John and his wife make family decisions with a strong sense of purpose.
