Daniel M. McDermott

Dan has been offering financial planning advice to individuals and businesses for nearly 40 years. He founded and led McDermott Advisory Group, LLC for more than 20 years before its acquisition by Mercer Advisors in 2018.

Dan holds a bachelor’s degree from West Chester University and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® Professional, Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®), and Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®).

Dan is enthusiastic about building long-term relationships with his clients and understanding their unique financial challenges. With patience and optimism, he aims to incorporate these qualities into his clients’ financial plans to ensure long-term success.

An avid runner for more than 40 years, Dan also enjoys tennis, golf, cycling, and weightlifting. He paddleboards at the Jersey Shore with his son and hopes to find more time for swimming and rowing in the future. Daniel resides in Wilmington with his wife and their three children. He is actively involved with the Adult Congenital Heart Association (ACHA), inspired by a close family member born with congenital heart defects.
