A Different Approach to Advisory Fees
Your fee should be clear, and so should the value behind it.
At Mercer Advisors, our fee structure is built on a simple principle: we succeed when you succeed. We charge a transparent, tiered advisory fee — not commissions, not hidden markups on products, not fees tied to transactions. Just one transparent cost for a full team of specialists working in your interest.
Fee-only. No commissions.
Your advisor is focused entirely on serving you, not building a book of business. Our advisors are salaried and don’t earn commission, so every recommendation is driven by what’s right for your financial life.Fiduciary. Always.
We’re legally obligated to put your interests first — not just sometimes, but every time.No product push. Ever.
We never push proprietary products. Your portfolio is built by a team of 100+ investment professionals using institutional-grade strategies — selected for performance, not profit margin.Connected. By design.
Every specialist on your team — planner, investor, tax advisor, estate attorney — works together under one roof, on one plan.Straightforward fees. A full team. Always integrated.
Many advisors charge a percentage fee primarily for investment management. At Mercer Advisors, your fee includes access to specialists across six core disciplines, working together to address every aspect of your financial life.
That’s the moment many people realize they’re not just getting investment advice, they’re getting a comprehensive wealth management team.

How We Compare
Not all fees are created equal.
There’s a meaningful difference between a firm that works for you and one that sells to you. Mercer Advisors is built around four pillars that set us apart from broker-dealers and most traditional advisors:
A fee from a broker-dealer is very different from a fee from Mercer Advisors. Here’s why:
Available or often coordinated externally
✕ Not typically included
*Tax preparation, estate planning documents, and trustee services involve separate fees or third-party relationships. See our Form ADV Part 2A for complete fee disclosure. Placeholder fees shown above — actual fees will be disclosed during your advisor consultation. Past client testimonials are not indicative of future results. Mercer Global Advisors, Inc. is an SEC-registered investment adviser.
Fee Schedule:
Simple, tiered, and fully transparent.
Annual advisory rates, billed monthly. Tiered and blended — so the more you invest, the lower your effective rate.
As your wealth grows, so does its complexity. Our tiered structure reflects that — each level unlocks a deeper service model, not just a lower rate. Fees are annual, billed monthly, and blended across tiers so your effective rate decreases as your assets grow. Actual fees may vary based on assets, services, and any negotiated agreements.
Not sure which tier fits you? We’ll figure that out together in your first conversation.

Blended annual rates show the effective advisory fee at the low and high end of each asset range under the tiered schedule, rounded to two decimal places; your rate depends on your total assets under management. FOR ILLUSTRATIVE PURPOSES ONLY. All figures are estimates and are not a quote, offer, or fee agreement. Mercer Advisors figures are based on the standard tiered fee schedule in Form ADV Part 2A dated March 30, 2026; actual client fees may be lower or negotiated. Regis fees are set in each client agreement based on scope and complexity, so no Regis estimate is shown. Financial planning and tax planning are estimated at hourly rates of $300 and $400, respectively, with hours that vary by asset level. Frequently Asked Questions
-
Your fee is a percentage of the assets we manage for you. It’s stated as an annual rate but calculated and billed monthly, based on your average daily balance. Your exact rate depends on your portfolio size and the services included in your agreement, and it comes down as your assets grow. Our advisory fee isn’t tied to the investments we recommend, and there are no hidden charges.
-
Yes. Your advisory fee is stated as an annual rate, but you don’t pay it in one lump sum. It’s calculated and charged monthly, based on your average daily balance for the month. A 1.00% annual rate, for example, works out to about one-twelfth of 1% each month. Each service level also has a minimum annual fee, which applies if your calculated fee would come in below it.
-
Billing is automatic. Each month, your fee is calculated in arrears and deducted directly from your account, so you don’t have to write checks or track invoices. You’ll see the deduction on your custodian statements. If you start or end the relationship partway through a month, your fee is prorated for that month. In the few cases where a fee can’t be deducted from an account, we’ll bill you directly.
-
The advisory fee covers financial planning, investment management, and the coordination of your broader plan across our in-house team. Tax preparation, estate planning document preparation, and trustee services involve separate agreements and may carry additional fees. Your advisor can walk you through exactly what’s included before you sign anything.
-
No. Investment expenses are charged by the funds themselves, not by Mercer Advisors. These expenses (such as a fund’s expense ratio) are built into each fund’s price, and none of that money is paid to us. We favor low-cost options like ETFs and index funds to keep these costs down. Across our model portfolios, average fund expenses are about 0.12% a year. If your portfolio uses third-party managers or separately managed accounts, those managers charge their own fees.
-
Yes. Your assets are held by an independent custodian, such as Schwab, Fidelity, or Raymond James, not by Mercer Advisors. Custodians may charge transaction fees on certain trades, like some mutual fund purchases or bond trades. Many don’t currently charge for stock or ETF trades, though that can change. These fees are separate from your advisory fee, and Mercer Advisors doesn’t receive any portion of them. Some clients may also pay custody or trustee fees, depending on how their accounts are set up.
-
Some services are provided under their own agreement, either by our own team or by trusted outside providers:
- Tax preparation: included at the Ascend and Regis levels and available for a separate fee at other levels. In every case, you’ll sign a separate agreement with our tax team.
- Estate planning documents: prepared through an independent law firm, because Mercer Advisors isn’t a law firm.
- Trustee services: provided through a third-party trust company.
- Care concierge services: provided through a third-party partner.
- Third-party investment managers: used for certain strategies, with their own fees.
-
The biggest difference is how advisors are paid. Brokers are often paid through commissions on the products they sell or the trades they make, which can tie their pay to what you buy. Mercer Advisors is an independent fiduciary. We charge a transparent advisory fee based on the assets we manage, we don’t offer proprietary investment products, and our advisors are salaried. As your assets grow, your rate comes down. Depending on your service level, that fee can also cover financial planning, tax planning, and estate planning. Many larger firms offer fee-based accounts too, so it’s worth asking any firm exactly what its fee includes.
-
We work with families across a wide range of asset levels between $500,000 – $500,000,000 – and we scale our family office model to fit. The right starting point depends as much on the complexity of your situation as the size of your portfolio. A short conversation is the fastest way to find out where you’d fit.
-
Mercer Global Advisors (“Mercer Advisors”) is compensated from the investment advisory fees paid to it by its clients. Clients engaging Mercer Advisors for additional services such as, financial consulting, tax preparation and filing, or other services will enter into separate agreements and additional fees may apply.
-
Our fee schedule reflects the value we deliver and the cost of the integrated team behind it. For families with complex needs — particularly at higher asset levels — the fee may be structured around the specific scope of services involved.
-
Yes! We offer a complimentary consultation where we’ll discuss your financial goals and how we can help. If you’d like to move forward and work with us, you’ll be thoughtfully matched with an advisor suited to your needs who can create a plan and help you put it into action.
