Katelyn is a Partner based in Chicago, Illinois. She joined Mercer Advisors after serving 11 years at TIAA, most recently as Sr. Director. Katelyn is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional and earned a B.A. in economics from Bates College. She is enthusiastic about helping clients make sense of financial issues that can feel overwhelming and turning them into something clear and actionable. Knowing that her work helps bring clarity, confidence, and long-term impact to someone’s life is what drives her every day.

By building trusted relationships, she takes the time to understand the intricacies of each client’s distinct financial picture, helping them make sense of complexity and confidently move toward their goals. Her approach is collaborative and thoughtful, to help navigate obstacles, uncover opportunities, and bring all the pieces together in a clear and purposeful plan.

What keeps you busy outside of work?
I enjoy spending time with family — my son and twins keep me on my toes. We love spending time outside, especially riding bikes and going to the beach. I love the community we’ve built in our town and value the friendships and connections we’ve found here for our family.
Any words you try to live by?
The word I live by is integrity — doing the right thing even when it’s not the easiest path. To me, integrity means being honest, transparent, and accountable in every decision, especially when others are placing their trust in me. It’s the foundation that supports how I build relationships, make recommendations, and show up every day.
What’s one thing you are surprisingly good at?
I’ve always loved cooking. Some of my earliest memories are sitting on the kitchen counter with my mother and grandmother helping with meals. Thoughout my life, I’ve grown to be a pretty decent chef for our family and love trying and inventing new recipes.
