Alex Moore

In his role as Vice President of M&A Partner Development, Alex collaborates with business owners to shape the next stage of their business and take steps toward mutually beneficial success with Mercer Advisors.

Prior to joining Mercer Advisors in 2025, Alex Moore served as Vice President on MarshBerry’s Financial Advisory team, managing sell-side transactions, conducting due diligence, performing valuations, and leading consulting engagements across both the insurance and wealth advisory sectors.

Before his time at MarshBerry, Alex was an Associate at Stout Risius Ross (Stout) in Cleveland, Ohio, supporting the firm’s transaction and post-M&A dispute practice. His main responsibilities included resolving disputes related to working capital, earn-outs, and post-transaction valuations. He also provided consulting on financial, accounting, and valuation matters tied to alleged breaches of representations and warranties, as well as related insurance claims.

Earlier in his career, Alex worked at Grant Thornton, where he performed valuations for tax planning, buy- and sell-side advisory, litigation support, and financial reporting. He also contributed to audit reviews of third-party appraisals and successfully completed the Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) exam.

Alex earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting and economics and a Master of Science degree in accounting, taxation, and information systems from Michigan State University. He is also a licensed CPA, a CFA® charter holder, and a member of the CFA Institute.
