Meet Tom

Tom is a Sr. Wealth Advisor based in Old Lyme, Connecticut. He joined Mercer Advisors through the acquisition of Benchmark Wealth Management, LLC, which he co-founded and where he served as a Managing Director, Wealth Manager, and Chief Compliance Officer. Tom began his financial planning career in 2000. Prior, Tom was an operations supervisor for a Fortune 500 subsidiary for 10 years.

He is a proud veteran of the U.S. Naval Submarine Force, serving in the engineering department and as a ship’s diver. In 2007, Tom co-founded Benchmark Wealth Management. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional, and earned the Certified Investment Management Analyst® designation and the Master Planner Advanced Studies designation. He also earned a MBA from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a M.S. degree in personal financial planning from the College of Financial Planning.

What keeps you busy outside of work?

I spend time with my family, at the dojo as a Jujutsu and Kick Boxing black belt, and at the gym. I enjoy travel and concerts with friends.

Get busy living or get busy dying.

How do you give back?

I dedicate time to serve on community boards and do pro bono work within the financial planning field.
