The Setting Every Community Up for Retirement Enhancement (SECURE) Act was first passed in December 2019. Three years later, December 29, 2022, SECURE 2.0 Act was signed into law with more changes to retirement and tax rules. Over 90 changes take effect over the next three years, opening broader paths for Americans to grow their retirement savings and provide more flexible access to their funds.
