Tammy Wakevainen

Tammy has been helping individuals and families navigate their financial lives for more than 25 years. She began her career in public accounting, focusing on tax preparation and planning. Prior to joining Mercer Advisors in 2022, she served as a financial planner at Vintage Financial Services for five years.

Tammy is passionate about guiding clients toward Economic Freedom™ and helping them achieve their financial goals. She specializes in supporting clients through major life transitions such as retirement, divorce, widowhood, and estate planning. Known for her outgoing personality and dedication, Tammy goes the extra mile to equip clients with the tools and confidence they need to prepare for retirement and life’s changes along the way.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Shepherd University and is both a Certified Public Accountant and a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® Professional.

Tammy lives in Manchester, where she enjoys the close-knit feel of her small-town community. Outside of work, she can often be found kayaking on quiet lakes in the Upper Peninsula, skiing, or biking with her husband and two daughters. She is also deeply involved in her community, serving on the board of the Children’s Literacy Network and volunteering as a long-time coordinator for IHN Alpha House in Ann Arbor.
