Mary Ellen Furlong

Mary Ellen has been a trusted presence in client service since 2008, when she joined D. Scott Neal, Inc., which later partnered with Mercer Advisors in 2025.

With a professional background that spans curatorial roles in art museums and nearly a decade as a freelance writer for a local business newspaper, she brings a blend of creativity, precision, and communication to her work. Mary Ellen is passionate about building strong relationships with clients and takes pride in ensuring every detail is handled with care. Her thoughtful approach and commitment to service have made her a valued member of the team.

She holds a B.A. in both fine art and painting and business administration from Bellarmine University.
Outside of work, Mary Ellen continues to pursue her love of painting, enjoys traveling, and stays active with yoga and stand-up paddleboarding. She and her husband love hosting friends and family at their 100-year-old home in the historic Highlands neighborhood of Louisville, Kentucky.
