Laura Rowley

Laura partners with families through personalized communication and a deep understanding of each client’s unique financial landscape. She provides comprehensive strategies across investment management, tax and estate planning, risk mitigation, and retirement planning — empowering clients to achieve financial health and realize their personal aspirations.

With a collaborative approach, Laura frequently works alongside tax preparers, attorneys, and other professionals to craft well-rounded financial strategies. She is especially passionate about helping clients preserve wealth for future generations and efficiently transfer assets to children, grandchildren, and charitable causes.

Laura began her financial services career in 1994, and held positions at Olde Stockbrokers, JPMorgan Chase Investments, and Wells Fargo Investments. She joined Kanaly Trust in 2005, which became part of Mercer Advisors in 2016.

Building strong, trust-based relationships is at the heart of Laura’s work. She thrives on solving complex, but solvable, financial challenges and takes pride in easing her clients’ stress by managing the details so they can focus on what brings them joy.

Laura holds a Cannon Wealth Management Certificate and is a graduate of the American Bankers Association National Trust School. She earned her degree in International Business from Sam Houston State University and is an active member of the Financial Planning Association, the American Bankers Association, and the Institute for Certified Bankers.

Native Houstonians, Laura and her husband live in the historic Houston Heights neighborhood. She enjoys gardening, cooking with her husband, and spending quality time with her two daughters, who fill their home with music and song. Laura also finds creative fulfillment in making pottery. She is active in her community, mentoring graduate students at Sam Houston State and previously serving on the graduate school’s advisory board. She has also served as a court-appointed guardian ad litem through Child Advocates.
