José channels his varied and extensive experience into helping clients navigate the intricacies of comprehensive financial planning. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional and earned a B.S. degree in business administration, with an emphasis in personal financial planning, from the University of Colorado at Boulder.

What makes you tick?
I grew up in a family that worked incredibly hard but didn’t have access to financial planning resources. Seeing the difference that guidance can make is what motivates me today. It drives how I show up for clients — with care, clarity, and a focus on helping them turn hard work into lasting security and a meaningful legacy.
What keeps you busy outside of work?
Spending time with my wife, and exploring the diverse culinary scene in Dallas. My wife and I enjoy returning home to Denver to visit friends and family throughout the year. My marriage is incredibly sacred to me; my wife and I take an annual anniversary trip abroad. Otherwise I enjoy strength training, cycling, and golf.

One of the major reasons I joined Mercer Advisors was after seeing the tenure for many of my colleagues.
