John Day

John is enthusiastic about helping clients map out their financial plans and achieve their most important goals. In 1998, John founded Day & Ennis, LLC, a fee-only financial planning firm that grew to become a major independent fiduciary firm in Macon and central Georgia, with a second office in Blairsville. The firm joined Mercer Advisors in June 2023.

John graduated from the University of Georgia with a BBA in Accounting and a Master of Accountancy. After college, he joined Arthur Andersen & Co., where he rose to the position of senior manager. He then served as vice president and controller of Charter Medical Corporation and later as chief financial officer for CareSouth Health Systems.

An active member and former president of the Union County Rotary Club, John and his wife Diana reside in the mountain community of Blairsville, Georgia. In his free time, John enjoys golf, archery, fitness, hiking, reading mysteries, and fly fishing.
