Jerry Zimmerer

Jerry has been helping families make effective financial decisions and achieve Economic Freedom™ for nearly 35 years. He began his financial planning and investment advisory career in 1990, following 17 years in public accounting and corporate finance, where he worked closely with high-net-worth individuals and business owners. Jerry merged his firm, Zimmerer and Associates, with D. Scott Neal, Inc., which later partnered with Mercer Advisors in 2025.

A Louisville native, Jerry earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Bellarmine University, graduating cum laude. He is a Certified Public Accountant, a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® Professional, and holds the Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) designation.

Jerry is passionate about financial education and community service. He teaches a personal finance course for couples preparing for marriage and has a special interest in developing leadership in youth. He serves on the executive board of the Lincoln Heritage Council of Scouting America.
Jerry is married and has six children and 11 grandchildren. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and volunteering with Scouting America.
