James Shanton

James entered the financial services industry in 1995. Prior to joining Mercer Advisors, James maintained a sole proprietor in the business of providing computer and financial planning services, while continuing his full-time employment with ADP. In 1998, James joined Jackson Financial Management on a full-time basis. James has been an investment advisor representative of Jackson Financial Management since January of 1998 and served as a member of the executive management team and stockholder in Jackson Financial Management. His areas of expertise include high-net-worth financial planning, investment management, retirement planning, estate planning, and life insurance strategies. He graduated from California State University Fullerton with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration / Finance, holds the FINRA Series 65 License, and obtained the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER^TM certification in 2001. James currently serves on the board of trustees for Premiere Christian Education Group. He resides in Southern California with his wife, Kathy, and they have been blessed with two grown children. Their son, daughter-in-law, and two grandsons live in South Carolina and their daughter resides in Southern California. Jim enjoys surfing, skiing, soccer, basketball, volunteering and relaxing with family and friends.
