Erik W. Thurnher

As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER^™ professional and former practicing emergency physician, Erik brings a unique perspective and almost 25 years of experience to the business of helping healthcare professionals manage their finances. Prior to joining Mercer Advisors, Erik served as founder and Principal of two personal finance companies, Physicians Financial Advisors and MedCentric Financial Network. His areas of expertise include investment management, retirement planning, and tax strategies. He practiced emergency medicine with Kaiser Permanente in Southern California from 1998 through 2008. Erik completed his undergraduate studies at UC Berkeley, earned his MD from George Washington University, and underwent residency training at UC Irvine. He earned his CFP® certification in 2000. His hobbies include adventure travel, fitness, scuba and sky diving, and reading.
