Emily’s career in financial services began in 2017 when she got an internship at Valmark Financial Group (a broker-dealer / RIA / insurance agency combo). She graduated from the University of Akron with a degree in financial planning and financial management and took the exam for CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification soon after. Emily spent the next five years wearing different hats at Valmark and learning about career opportunities, eventually realizing she wanted to be in the RIA space. She enjoys helping others while achieving her goal of continued growth as a professional. When not working, Emily fosters dogs in need of medical or behavioral help to find a forever home. She also volunteers at a local animal shelter, helping with dog-walking and fundraising.
