Meet Jake
Jake is a Wealth Advisor based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He joined Mercer Advisors in 2022 through the acquisition of Fure Financial where he served as Financial Planning Associate for more than two years. He earned a B.A. degree in investments from the University of North Dakota. Jake is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional.

Jake in real life
What makes you tick?
My biggest motivation is my family. My mom spent most of her career as a labor and delivery nurse and my father as a percussion professor. Their careers have been spent helping and educating others and, while in a different field, I carry their values forward.
What keeps you busy outside of work?
I spend my free time with my wife, who is my high school sweetheart, and our dog, Kovu (a German Shepherd mix). I enjoy visiting new countries, trying new foods, watching the NFL and rooting for the Minnesota Timberwolves.
What’s one thing you are surprisingly good at?
Pool! I grew up playing competitive pool and traveling across the Midwest to compete in tournaments. Now I volunteer at Minnesota’s largest youth pool program coaching the next generation of pool players.
