Zack in real life

What keeps you busy outside of work?

Outside of work, I’m usually in the air or in the water. I’m a private pilot and love flying, and I’m excited to start teaching my two kids who’ve taken an interest. I’m also an open water swimmer — it’s my reset button and a great reminder that steady effort over time goes a long way.

Any words you try to live by?

I’m drawn to the idea that many of life’s problems come from our inability to simply sit still and be present. Not every situation requires immediate action — sometimes slowing down, observing and responding thoughtfully leads to better decisions.

How do you give back?

I’m a fourth generation Bay Area native who grew up working at my father’s accounting practice in San Francisco’s Tenderloin, where I saw firsthand the challenges many seniors face. For many years I’ve served on the board of Curry Senior Center, a nonprofit providing medical care and wraparound services to at-risk seniors in the neighborhood, including seven years as treasurer. It’s hands on work supporting an organization focused on dignity, stability, and care — for a community that’s often overlooked.
