LaShawn is a Sr. Client Service Specialist who joined Mercer Advisors in 2025 through the acquisition of Tufton Capital Management. She was an Account Administrator at Tufton Capital Management for 10 years. LaShawn is based in Hunt Valley, Maryland. She has 30 years of experience in client service roles. LaShawn earned an A.A. degree in liberal arts from the Community College of Baltimore.

What keeps you busy outside of work?
Most of my free time is spent with my daughter. Time with friends, cooking, and self care are also important to me. My daughter has a pottery studio and I’m learning the intricacies of the wheel and getting in touch with my creative side.
Any words you try to live by?
Kindness is key. Treating people with kindness, thoughtfulness, and respect are paramount to who I am as a person. I’m always thinking of others and how I can be a better person. I never take for granted the blessings given to me.
