Ian Smith

Ian joined Mercer Advisors in 2025. He is enthusiastic about aiding our wealth advisors to help ensure that the needs of our clients are fulfilled in a gracious and meticulous manner.

Prior to Mercer Advisors, Ian worked as a television and film development executive at The Walt Disney Company and Chernin Entertainment, as well as United Talent Agency. He graduated from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University, with a double major in political science. He is also a notary.

Ian was raised in an Army family and previously lived in Germany. He loves playing basketball and golf and rooting for the Buffalo Bills. Ian lives in Los Angeles with his wife and their tabby cat.
