Leslie in real life
What keeps you busy outside of work?
I love my large family, with two teenage sons and a dog at home, a son in college, and three more grown and living on the east coast. That’s in addition to my beloved grandson, daughter-in-law, and five granddogs and cats. I have five siblings, a father and siblings-in-law, and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts and cousins, spread all over the country. Keeping in touch with family and friends is a favorite way to spend time. In addition, I enjoy cooking, walking and working out, cheering on my sports teams, traveling, meeting with my bookclub, skiing, and boogieboarding.
Any words you try to live by?
Take time to appreciate the beauty around you and find the joy in every day. Share your gifts and talents with the world. Have fun. Sing loudly if not well. Take time to listen to each person’s story.
What’s one thing you are surprisingly good at?
I know the lyrics to an absurd number of songs. I may not even know the title of the song or the artist, but I’ll know every word. My husband has this same, unique gift. It is one of the things that drew us together.
