Over his tenure as a valuation professional, he has provided valuation and consulting services in numerous industries including Healthcare, Telecommunications, Media, Technology, and Government Services.  Scott has provided valuation and transaction advisory services for the following purposes: acquisition advisory, partnership dissolutions, fairness/solvency opinions, goodwill impairment testing, intangible asset valuations for purchase price allocations, marital dissolution, estate tax planning, employee stock ownership plans, gift tax, general litigation, economic damages, and bankruptcy.  His valuation reports have passed the scrutiny of the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Internal Revenue Service, the US Department of Labor, US Bankruptcy Courts, State Courts, and Fortune 500 Boards of Directors and Audit Committees.  He has provided valuation services for companies ranging from Fortune 20 to sole proprietorships in deals ranging from $170 billion to $170 thousand.

Scott has earned the Accredited Senior Appraiser (“ASA”) designation in Business Valuation from the American Society of Appraisers, the highest level of designation in the field of business valuation. 

Prior to joining Mercer Transitions, Scott was a Senior Manager in the Valuation and Transaction Advisory Group at Reznick Group, a Washington, DC based national management consulting firm, where he led the firm’s valuation practice in the performance of over 100 assignments per year.  Prior to joining Reznick, Scott spent seven years in the largest valuation advisory practice in the world at Arthur Andersen, LLP and, after the acquisition of Andersen, at Deloitte & Touche, LLP.
